Branch of Government Essay

Using the websites provided, I’d like you to research a branch of government.  I highly suggest you record any important information you read about while researching.  You can add this on a new document.  (Cut-and-paste would be helpful for research but must be changed to your own words once you start writing your essay!) Math Homework Update!

September 21st, 2011

I’ve noticed that tonight’s math homework is taking a bit longer than planned. If you reach at least an hour on Kahn Academy you may stop. We’ll find time to finish the rest in the future.

Complete practice exercises Addition 1 though 4 and Subtraction 1 through 4.

Note: Tonight’s homework will be comprised of review material where proficiency is essential for further growth in mathematics. Though there are numerous videos and exercises, their level of difficulty is low, and they provide a solid base which will serve as a jumping off point for more advanced work in the coming months. Science Fair 2011

January 25th, 2011

Science Fair projects are fun!  What better way to learn than actually “getting your hands dirty.”

A good Science Fair project involves you taking a journey of discovery, driven by your own curiosity.  The best projects usually have a special meaning to its tester (you).  When contemplating your question, think about things that interest you.

I have provided several  links to help narrow down your search.  After coming up with a couple of ideas, please submit them to Mr. Wrinkle via the googledocs link at the very bottom of this post.  All submissions are due Friday 1/28.

Finally, you must make sure your project is testable.  Simply put, you have to be able to do an experiment that produces data.  We’ve discussed this thoroughly in class, so I suspect you all have a clear understanding of what I mean.  Good luck and have fun.
